From Argentina, a referent country of the Spanish speaking rock and home of very important bands like Pappo’s Blues, Vox Dei, Pescado Rabioso, it comes for the first time to europe Banda de la Muerte, one of the most burning acts of the local scene. Each of the four members of the quartet comes from emblematic origins in the Buenos Aires’ stoner and metal underground scene, as for example Jesus Martyr and Buffalo.                                                                         &n...

Now hailed as the national rock/sludge pride of Venezuela, Cultura Tres came from far. With the first EP "Seis" (2007) the band already outgrew the South American continent. But only after releasing debut album "La Cura" in October 2008, the band started to get noticed worldwide. During the preceding year of rigorous composing, Cultura Tres incorporated many influences into their sound, ranging from sludge to doom metal and from death metal to classic rock.Important magazines in Europe and Japan praised “La Cura” for its dark and original music, and Metal Hammer magazine even selected Cultura Tres as the month's global discovery. The release tour took the band during 18 months across Europe, S...

After four gigs the band was opening for Depeche Mode on their most recent visit to Costa Rica. So far they have 2 EPs which are Cage and Random Paranoia which can be downloaded for free at www.anemonah.bandcamp.com...

Hyawatha is a raw, DIY sound from New Brunswick, NJ. After going their seperate ways in college, four friends came back to Jersey and realized the only thing that made sense anymore was making music. The four piece has come a long way, being kicked out of every practice space available, washing dishes to make a living and playing all over New Jersey and NYC dives/clubs. Everything Hyawatha does is DIY, from the artwork and promotions to the recordings and releases. The music is raw, noisy and honest.  ...

They first began in 2006 when friends Terence Healy (guitar) and Mike Nuzzolo (bass) began jamming together. It wasn't long before Adam Carrington brought his classically trained voice into the mix, helping to define the sound that would become associated with One Step Away. A self-titled EP later and drummer Ben Trudeau joined the fray. The path since then has been an upward one, with larger and larger gigs covering a bigger geographic area. One Step Away has now played coast to coast and won several regional and national competitions for songwriting and performance. In early 2010 One Step Away dove into the studio with producers Dan Malsch and Alec Henninger of Soundmine Recording Studio (Four Year Strong, Framing Hanley, Forever the Sick...

NEW MUSIC FROM SWEDISH ROCK BAND "SUBURBIA"!Swedens "Suburbia" are back with their third fullenght album "Assemble"."Celebrating our ten year anniversary with this album feels great. It´s the most Suburbia-sounding album to date. This is how we always intended to sound and we´re really proud of how it turned out."The band released the double A-side single "Divided / When The Lights Go Out" in early November and got really good feedback. "Divided", a guitar driven punk/rockish tune with the typical Suburbia-styled energic and melodic chorus and "When The Lights Go Out" a heavier, more static yet still with the strong chorus melody....

Carson Taylor (born January 19), is an American recording artist. He began performing in at school plays and in April 2008 signed with Neon North Entertainment, a new record company with no artists at the time. During his early time at Neon North, he worked as a songwriter for other bands and artists such as Buller and Taylor Renee.Released on March 16, 2009, his demo, Artificial Flavoring, was an attempt at success but failed to make waves in the music world. The Test Dream is Ryan Colt Levy (vocals, guitar) Derek Tramont (bass guitar, vocals) Brett Tramont (drums, vocals) Louis DiLornezo (lead guitar) The Test Dream create music that seems to personify a simultaneously somber and blissful illumination, akin to the recovery of some long-forgotten, secret heirloom. They inhabit an alternate universe somewhere between reality and philosophy -- the unlikely union of the basement and the astral plane. Their sound straddles a unique threshold with each song being its own winding journey. The first seeds of The Test Dream were sown nearly ten years ago when the three standing original members (Ryan Colt Levy, Derek Tramont and Brett Tramont) met in high school and formed the...

The One Through Tens are quickly gaining a reputation in Nashville for their explosive live performances. Show after unrelenting show they leave every piece of themselves onstage. Their new full length release, “Fighting for a Golden Age,” captures that same intensity in a studio recording, and is already garnering optimistic critical acclaim, on the national and international level. Singer Will Floyd's voice has been compared to vocalists such as Robert Plant and Shannon Hoon, while guitarist Adam Louis consistently defies audiences and critics alike with his blistering capabilities on the fretboard, melding jazz, blues, rock, punk, and metal into his own extremely unique style. When playing togeth...

However, once they met it was clear that the combination of their talents would make an unstoppable team. Soon after “The Goonies chapter” in music history came in to existence. Over the next ...

Bonfire Bandit is a new explosion of "Electro Americana" stylings on the Boston scene. An outlaw trio that's one part deco Chicago gangster, one part Grizzly Adams mountain freak and one part psychedelic punk, they're really a bunch of softies once you get to know them. But ya gotta act fast. These guys move under the cover of darkness and always make sure to clear their tracks. Manage to pin 'em down and they'll give you uplifting funky party anthems and dirty dance grooves, all the while robbing you of your inhibitions. They've been on the run since July of 2010....

Hi everbody, Rochelle here! I am a 16-year-old singer/songwriter originally from Seattle, WA. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that singing was my passion! I didn’t start singing just to become famous. I really love to sing and I have always wanted to be an inspiration for people to keep going and never give up on their dreams. I am a pretty normal teenager with a busy life with school and friends and a huge dream of making it as a profressional singer....

When I was 13 years old, my dad was ‘called’ to be a missionary in Honduras. As a family, we weren’t ‘cut out’ for the mission field – I had no idea my world was about to be kicked over on its side. One moment I was busy doing homework and planning slumber parties, the next moment I suddenly found myself in a third world country recovering from a hurricane. I went into culture shock as the poverty, disease, and the idea that human life isn’t so precious in other parts of the world… slowly seeped in. Most children grow up in ‘phases’ – I was given no time for that. I took on the mental weight of an adult the moment I stepped out of that tiny TACA airplane… a...

James Vincent McMorrowʼs self-titled EP is intended as an introduction to James' debut record, Early In The Morning, which will be released in the US in January 2011. Comprising of four songs, two of which are taken from the album, and two unearthed demos, the EP is laced with haunting melodies, mythical storytelling, and musical structures that bring a singular and unique vision to the traditional folk style that emerged in the states in the 1960's. Having self recorded, played and released Early In The Morning in Ireland earlier this year, James is preparing to disclose the album in the states making it available to American audiences for the first time. James first started to venture into...

THE DiSCiPLiNES have announced the details of their sophomore full-length, ViRGiNS OF MENACE, to be released in North America on February 15 on Seattle's Spark & Shine Records. Featuring Ken Stringfellow (The Posies/Big Star), Bjorn Bergene, Baard Helgeland and Ralla, the Norway based garage-rock quartet scored a massive Scandanavian hit with, "Oslo", the first single off their debut album, SMOKiNG KiLLS, in 2008. The band made their live debut on the main stage at that year's Oya Festival. The 40-minute set was a bombastic, spastic blast of grinding rock n' roll with melodies that soared into the summer air. The band went on to play festivals in the UK, France, USA, Canada and South America....

Meet The Stanfields, a maelstrom of rock 'n' roll, Celtic and bluegrass. Hailing from the gritty post-industrial towns of Nova Scotia, The Stanfields play every show like it's their collective last night on earth. Their kitchen party harmonies, thunderous rhythm section, high-octane stage show and genuine chemistry have won over audiences clear across the nation. Since forming in the summer of 2008, The Stanfields wasted no time making their mark on the venerable Atlantic Canadian music scene. Hailed as "The Clash meets Steve Earle" by Great Big Sea's Sean McCann and "The Bastard Children of ACDC and Stan Rogers" by Halifax's Q104 FM, further accolades began rolling in, including a double win for &quo...

At a time when back catalogue outsells fresh creativity and newcomers achieve fame by adding a lick of paint to their parents' record collections, it's unusual to find a band who, despite plying their trade for decades, are willing and able to make new work that's as vital and relevant as their own illustrious past recordings. Wire are such a band, and with Red Barked Tree they just might have succeeded in making a statement that will sound as strong in 30 years as their celebrated historical oeuvre does today.Red Barked Tree rekindles a lyricism sometimes absent from Wire's previous work and reconnects with the live energy of performance, harnessed and channeled from extensive touring over the past few years....

Swim the Mind is a 4-piece alternative band out of central Connecticut, writing and performing original muzak. Trying to push the lines of the progressive and hard rock genre, Swim the Mind isn't your standard, run-of-the-mill rock band. With powerful melodies dancing around polyrhythmic grooves and thoughtful lyrics sometimes sang, sometimes belted, they tend to catch the musicians ear or the person who really understands music as being something more than just background noise. And while remaining true to their hard and progressive roots, they also choose to explore the slow and experimental dark-side of music, which adds a nice dynamic to their songs. Swim The Mind, as a whole, conveys a simple and friendly message remin...

I come from a land down upstate. Where mountains grow and then turn over. There's fracking nearby. There's noisy highways in the sky. There's a bucket of gruel on the stove.Actually I'm just a one man show. A multi-tasker of sorts. Check out the site, the jams, the images, the words and let me know what you think. I'm really interested in what you have to say. ...

GriZ is:Grant Kwiecinski aka GRiZ (computers/controllers/saxophone) featured: Dan Hacker aka Muzzy (guitar/pedals)"A true pioneer and master of musical expression, GRiZ (Grant Kwiecinski) stands head-and-shoulders above the competition in terms of the sheer variety of his ever-evolving technical prowess. A tremendously passionate and soulful producer, GRiZ has a peerless knack for creating profoundly engaging melodies to offset the presence of his phenomenally designed bass. Where many artists become mired in a over-simplified and standardized method of production for the sake of creative efficiency; GriZ has no qualms sacrificing spee...

New Nobility has taken the indie charts by storm across the globe with Galactic from their newest album BLUE BUTTERFLY (REVOLUTION). Following on with their second track from their EP, the title track "Blue Butterfly (Australia)" pays homage to their Wide Brown Land. "Let's Make A Better World" leans more towards an 'every man's' pop rock sensibility. New Nobility is an apt name for a band who delivers a 'breath of fresh air' rock sound. Melodious rock like this doesn't often come from Australian shores - and how the US and UK are taking a shine to these fine musical craftsmen on a clear mission. They have won numerous awards including the Music Aid Award for "Best Band 2007" in the U....

When Dead Letter Circus blasted onto Australian airwaves in 2007, their bombastic yet nuanced take on alternative rock left most observers struggling to process what they were hearing. It was epic, it oozed confidence, it was intense and open all at once. It was the debut of a sou...

The legend of Mike Stud dates back to his days growing up (some even say blowing up) as one of Providence, Rhode Island's greatest ball players of all time.  As a highly touted high school Senior at Saint Raphael's Academy, Stud's work on the mound earned him Rhode Island's 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year and Louisville Slugger Player of the Year honors.  So when the Duke Blue Devils came knocking, he packed up his .354 batting average and 107 senior season strikeouts and headed to Durham. But it was the heat Stud was tossing off the field that was raising eyebrows and bobbing heads. It wasn't until the end of his Junior year that Stud would hone his hidden hip-hop skills.  After two strong seasons at Duke, in...
