RecommendYou may have heard Da Lata before. They have been featured on the highly praised Rebirth of Cool series. It was shortly after their appearance on those fine compilations that Chris Blackwell's Palm Pictures scooped them up. What has resulted is a beautiful melding of contemporary electronic beats and a Brazilian tropical feel. The first track "Binti" features Deidre Dubois from Ekova sharing vocals with Da Lata main vocalist, Liliana Chachian. The use of Portuguese percussionist, Oli Savill just adds to the world feel of it. I wouldn't mind sitting back on a patio drinking large margueritas on hot day using this music as the background.
