As I said above Juliana can't quite decide where she wants to go with her music. I really don't have a problem with it as I think her voice is suited to many different styles. On Beautiful Creatures (released the exact same day as the heavier Total System Failure) she hits more on the singer / songwriter sound. A more emotional and personal effort is acheived here and I can hear so much improvement on her voice since the first time I heard "My Sister". She is a very eager and talented girl. Most of the tracks feature her doing most of the work. She incorporates programmed drum tracks on a couple songs that work very nicely with her self harmonizing. This pair of releases shows that Juliana is still relevant after the fall of alternative rock.
