I'm not a huge fan of bland Alt-Rock, not at least since I was about 19. Though from time to time, artists like Switchfoot come across my path and become an exception, its rare. Peel hailing from Norway, has a very polished edge of Rock.
The vocals are wrapped in that raspy, Goo Goo Dolls or Collective Soul kind of groove, and the instrumentation blends nicely. They even manage to involve a bit of Electronica such as lead track, "Falling From Grace". This song also has an aggressive bridge and vocals that is not evident on the other recordings.
With a Power Pop sound, its nearly necessary to blow listeners away with a freshness, or unique vibe. Though these Norwegians do not do that, of the total four songs here, all have a very predictable format and structure with an enjoyable mincing of melody.
