RecommendThis is the first installation in Scanner's (Robin Rimbaud) Sulfur records Meld Series. The pairing couldn't be more appropriate as DJ Spooky and Scanner have a lot in common. DJ Spooky is a little more accessible than Scanner but together they meet somewhere in the middle creating a sort of John Cage style electronica for this new millenium. Mixing hip-hop blasts with crazy atmospheric sounds results in a truly interesting album. Both these artists will be looked upon as revolutionaries in the electronica field. Look for more of the same in upcoming Meld releases.
