Not sure how the band formerly known as the Infidels settled on the name Grand Theft Audio (it was probably the MTV special report on Napster with the same name, it would be interesting to know if they are supporters or not). ANyway they are embarking on turning the rock world on it's ass. They have a huge anthemic sound that is produced very professionally. They come to us via the UK and they have the skill to succeed. Grand Theft Audio pull from Rock and Electronica equally to come up with a hard driving fresh sound. They state that there is a strong barrier up for people to mix the genres and the band is out to prove that it will work. When they are hot, they are powerful, but other times they fail. They sound like a contrived pop act on the track "As Good As It Gets" with the added female vocals. For the most part the band drives a powerful machine and if the right image is portrayed they may actually go places.
