There For Tomorrow - There For Tomorrow
Even with Emo strands falling off the shoulders of the music Industry, and its hard to hear a difference between one whiney to the next, there is still defined difference in sounding good and bad. Production is always key I suppose, but just overall natural talent for rhythmic tones is the most important factor. And although new Hopeless Records Recording artist There For Tomorrow will without a doubt be in that hairball of strands, they are on the right side of the defined line.
Their hard-edged progressive rock comes to a gorgeous mincing of melodies on the Closing track of this sophomore EP release, Taking Chances. The bridges and choruses have tender but roughed up sounding harmonics. Their lead single "No Room To Breathe" has a constant vibe, and will easily fit in with College Radio programs. Not really my cup of tea, and thats where that defined line splits up my taste for a particular artist. Can't put my finger on it, but there's something not signature enough on some off these songs, but entertaining nonetheless. I'm sure they've spent a good amount of time playing live, but I'm interested to see what these Orlando natives do with the next couple of years of touring and maturing and how that effects their writing process.
Good buy overall, 3.5 rounded up to 4
