This again is a case of never judging a CD by its cover. On the cover of DJ Scissorkicks is what looks like an old cover for Space Invaders, complete with the Atari logo. Once you listen to Scissorkicks you will be assaulted by very cool breakbeats that rival that of Fatboy Slim. DJ Scissorkicks aka Anthony Chapman has been remixing in the UK for quite some time now but it is only now that he has made the move to release his own disc. He really knows how to play hard hitting and funky beats that are bound to get you off your ass and dance. I don’t know if Scissorkicks will make it big in North America but it is sure to please many underground electronica fans. Bored with Fatboy? Turn your attention to DJ Scissorkicks and you won’t be disappointed. Find out why Wax magazine gave Video Computer System a 10/10 as well as the much-reveled Jockey Slut with a 5/5.
