RecommendTired of all the shlock that Britian had been trying to flog on us? For one moment take down your guard and let the infectious Gay Dad into your realm. At moments it does sound like the rest but there is something about this debut album that gets in and sticks to your ribs. The voice isn't that different than, say, Verve and the music isn't all that different than, umm, how about Suede. It is just good music! The singer Cliff Jones used to be a journalist in the cut-throat British entertainment scene so he knows all the tricks of the trade. Do yourself a favour and give this Gay Dad a chance.
