Gaunt - Bricks
This band has come from a lo-fi punk band to a tight catchy brand of power pop. Most of the tracks are short and to the point, racing to the end but the track "Bricks And Blackouts" stuck in the middle provide the listener with a breif window of rest. No sooner said the get right back on course with "Pop Song". Jerry Wick provides the guidance and superb songwriting skills to make this band work. Sometimes very emotive and others he is just out to have fun. It is just too bad that Warner had to pick up this brilliant album as it will now just get lost in the shuffle.
