RecommendSub Pop has had better days. They just can't find a hit. Not due to any ignorance on their part of course. They always put out quality albums. Gardener fits the bill. Another album I found at a used shop I thought I would try and ended up with a gem. Gardener is the collaboration between Aaron Stauffer (Seaweed) and Van Conner (Screaming Trees). New Dawning Time has its share of acoustic guitars but nicely accompanied by loads of friends and bandmates. This one goes down as a whole is greater than the sums.
