She really does have a great voice. Not what I'd call my kind of music, but her voice just about makes up for it.

For almost every album reviewed, the base of the argument lies with the collective rather than the individual. Vedera strays from this formula in a positive way. They posses a lead singer with such vocal power and prowess that it makes the rest of the band seem elementary in comparison. I'm not saying the supporting music is awful in any way, but the above and beyond ability of Kristen May (Vocals) would make most bands revile in her wake. There isn't a great deal of complexity in this album which makes it seem at times repetitive, but nevertheless, it's still catchy as hell. It's a relief to listen to an album which doesn't require a degree in music to understand the undertones and meanings of each song. This is an album for someone who wants to enjoy 60 minutes of simple ryhthms and out of this world vocals. One of the rare things I thought to myself while listening to this is that I couldn't wait to hear what they would release next. Anticipation is something to value in good music, and whenever I feel that, I remember why I love music.
