Feed - Safer Than Driving EP
Feed are refering to flying. Flying is what Feed do. Oh, and they play pretty decent power pop too. According to the info that I received from the band they have been together on and off for about 7 years but have never released anything commercial before this EP. It’s really too bad because what they have here is some very good guitar oriented pop ala Cracker. It’s almost as if feed is holding back a bit of a country edge but they do and Adam Perry’s vocals are very mature and developed. The 4 songs on Safer Than Driving really showcase a focused group that could do some damage to radio charts if they had the support of a big label. The music is always on the verge of breaking into something cacophonous but never quite reaches there. This makes Feed even more interesting and I hope that we see more from this talented group. For an indie effort the package is very professional too. This is key to getting recognition by any writers or interested parties.
