thankfully Tom Morello was able to save himself with his solo project and I heard hes going on tour with NIN and Janes Addiction
Not bad at all Mr Morello
But Dennis makes a good point as always

I like to think of Audioslave as the downfall of two great icons, Chris Cornell and Rage Against The Machine. This album was slightly better than the first but still, with the promise of a great voice like Cornell's being backed by RATM it was too good to be true.

actually Meisho, Audioslave was technically the second coming of RATM, since every instrumental member from Rage was in Audioslave. True they had a good sound, but the fact that there wasnt really a diverse sound makes this one sad "supergroup". I like to think of Audioslave as a "government and radio friendly" Rage Against the Machine.

This band is what people should mean when they talk about 'supergroups'. Exterremly talented members from different bands come together and make some excellent music. The majority of the tracks are driving and energetic, combining Tom Morello's flamboyant guitar stylings with Chris Cornell's powerful voice and sweeping up the listener in their torrent of rock. However, Cornell comes to the front in the 'Doesn't Remind Me' and 'Heaven's Dead', which make for a nice mid-album break. Excellent all the way through.
