I have to start this review by stating that if you are unfamiliar with The Embarrassment that this is not the logically place to get into the band. If you are new try out the band retrospective "Heyday 1979-1983". You will get a better idea of where the band was coming from. With Blister Pop, My Pal God has collected a bunch of previously unreleased demos, live trac ks and cover songs. They are of bootleg quality but for a die-hard fan these are a treasure. If you still with me you will probably know that The Embarrassment eluded any chance of success due to not just their geek status but there ever changing style. Blister Pop helps to cement that statement. Look at this album as a companion to Heyday and you will have a complete collection of Embarrassment songs. Enjoy!
