I fell in love with Elliott upon their release of the superb debut, U.S. Songs and have been eagerly awaiting this follow-up. Considered at one time to be "post-hardcore" I think would be an unjustice due to their sweet pop tendencies. Their music is filled with all the emotion and heart that emo has ever seen and so much more. The technical skills that Elliott shows is really outstanding. With Chris Higdon's heartfelt lyrics being belted out and the rest of the band filling any holes that they find makes this one of the most rewarding releases I think I have heard this year. Think of Radiohead coming from Kentucky and you might be able to imagine what sort of beauty this band is capable of. Sophomore slump? Forget about it!
