Who doesn't love this band?  I challenge you.  Like the cooler brother of REM, you just want to hang with it and play loud.  I don't care if you are a product of the 60's or the 90's.  This band has followers and it's because of this album.  The songs on this list have some struggling to find a favorite while others refuse to pick just one.  From the incredibly poetic lyrics, to the perfect mix of post-grunge sequences you can't not be taken with it.

Where to start.  "Selling The Drama" is one of their most well-known songs among others.  This song shouts it's meaning.  It stands up to be accounted for.  Speaking to the world of what will not be tolerated.  It's instrumentation offers nothing less.  My personal favorite, "All Over You", brings a subtle beginning  -"Our love is like water, pinned down and abused for being strange" then quickly fights to bring the song to full power.  Definitely a classic Live hit.  There are a few tracks throughout that didn't get as much spotlight, but could never be discounted.  "Waitress"  has great lyrics and oddly is the shortest track on the album.  "Top" and "Stage" have such a rush in the sound that you forget you were just listening to a rock ballad the track before.  The lyrics on these tracks are pure brilliance.  The rock is just enough.  The post-grunge sound is ever present, and the melodies created to link it all together would not be possible without every member of this group.

It's been said that if you truly love a band, you can never stop talking about them.  It's true.  Download it, buy it, or borrow it from a friend.  Chances are someone you know has it.  The fans know once you hear it you instantly think, "Yes!  Live!".  So, Live, where ever you are, get over the legal turmoil and pick up a studio.  If Bad Religion can still pack a house, so can you.

Every album after this, very much like Pearl Jam's "Ten", just could never live up to it. I remember first hearing this album in 1996, after being familiar with tracks like "Selling The Drama" and "Lightning Crashes". The entirety of the record resonated with me so much back then, and certain tracks will always have a place embedded in my memory. A personal classic. This album would have been perfect if Live had mastered time travel and were able to squeeze my favorite song of theirs (Overcome) in to the tracklist, heh.

Amazing first review Kelly! I do have a soft spot for Throwing Copper. You forgot to mention the big hit on the album, "Lightning Crashes". One that I still hear on the radio from time to time. Definitely a classic. I would actually change the rating on this to "Classic" or "Vault".
