Damn I've been avoiding this album like the plague, afraid it will be disappointing compared to good ole bunny sex...Great first review, you've got me considering a listen now.

Scream and Light Up the Sky is arguably the most developed work from The Honorary Title thus far. Musically, nothing sounds as pure as the acoustic guitars and resonating drums that accompany each track. Songs such as "Stay Away" and "Along the Way" are as gentle as a hand on the cheek, while others like "The City's Summer" dare to be romping anthems for a sunny drive. The energy does not drop from track to track, even with the evident variety of tempos that are squeezed in between them all. Furthermore, frontman Jarrod Gorbel, who is known for his youthful sense of humor, has become an impeccable crooner with a very mature soul. With Scream and Light Up the Sky, he comes back with the articulate writing skills to portray the rules of attraction quite intricately, which is immediately seen in the opening track "Thin Layer".
All in all, this album is a fresh representation of what many young hearts would sing if they had voices. The Honorary Title has made a great album that demonstrates their strong presence, and they can only go up from here.
