Neva Dinova's third album, You May Already Be Dreaming is a lush effort with a very rural feel. This Neva Dinova's first album on Saddle Creek is an idea that became fully relalized. With their trademark melancholy sound they combine the best aspects of bands such as The Good Life (they share the same drummer), Death Cab For Cutie, and Bright Eyes. The first seven songs are absolutely brilliant. With slow tempo gems like "Will The Ladies Send You Flowers," "Clouds," "Supercomputer," and "Tryptophan" they automatically make this a must have for any fans of the forementioned bands. While songs like "Clouds" and "Will The Ladies Send You Flowers" are true to form, songs like "Supercomputer" and "Apocalypse" are a bit of a change of pace. The counterbalance of melodies and the poetic lyrics are beautifully put together and make for some of the best music I have heard from Saddle Creek since the last Bright Eyes album. Overall Neva Dinova's You May Already Be Dreaming is their most fluid and well delivered album to date. It does what every good album should and that is make you want more.
