The Delta 72 make it's debut with their new line up. The only original member, keeping the faith, is guitarist and singer Gregg Foreman. Keyboardist Mark Boyce has been added as a welcome addition providing some really cool grooves throughout. The band delves into the blues soul rock that wouldn't be unfamiliar for fans of Jon Spencer. To add to the sound they get gospel singers are added ocassionally providing even more authenticity. Although the energy from their first two albums isn't as apparent on 000 it still kicks but in a more soulful manner. It almost seems as though they are trying to be more professional. The group is at home on the few instrumentals that really cook. Not saying that the rest of the tracks are down because this new direction the band is taking is really refreshing.
