One of the most moving albums I've ever listened too. To me, this is Silver Mt. Zion in it's top form- a unique, dark, yet hopeful post-rock group. It is very comparable to Godspeed You! (as Godspeed's guitarist Efrim Menuck started the band in '99) but in a smaller sense, which isn't a bad thing at all.

The opening track, "Sisters! Brothers! Small Boats of Fire are Falling From the Sky!"
quietly picks up with a echoed and effected guitar section until a beautiful orchestra takes over and eventually cascades into a screeching wall of sound layered with beautiful piano riffs and the crescendoing orchestra. It sets the perfect tone for whats to come.

My two favorite tracks are without question, "The Triumph of our Tired Eyes" and "Could've Moved Mountains..."

"Could've Moved Mountains..." is an 11 minute epic that features the same identifying sound of Silver Mt. Zion (lingering guitars layered with sorrowful violins and chellos) but more interestingly features a dual layer of contrasting vocals, making the listener choose between which layer to focus in on, each layer having a slightly different, yet similar themed message.

The vocals on this album are not considered 'good' by traditional standards and has been a turn off to many potential fans of this band, but i feel they are awesome, especially on "The Triumph of our Tired Eyes."

The lyrics are completely amazing and hopeful yet tragic, and yes, like most great songs in this genre, rises to a climax and leaves you hanging somewhere in space with no other option but to listen to it again.
