Certified Air Raid Material is one of the most intriguing albums of 2007. Los Angeles producer edIT blurs the boundary between hip hop and electronica in a remarkably innovative way. The result is a completely fresh sound that only becomes more captivating after each listen. edITs production style is vigorous, powerful, and filled with the energy of a non-stop party. Each song clobbers the listener with wall-shaking bass, twisted electronic glitches, and heavy beats. Appearances from notable underground rappers such as Busdriver and Abstract Rude allow edIT to display his skills as a hip hop producer. edITs songs are so thick and intricately crafted that even if you are not a fan of hip hop or electronica, you cant help but admire his talent and unique approach. The dark bass is so strong and the energy is so infectious that any living human beings should not be able to resist the urge to at least nod their head, if not full out dance. If you listen to Certified Air Raid Material (which you should), make sure you do it with the volume all the way up.
