There isn't much to say about Vancougar.  Their music, especially on their latest release Losin' It! is very repetitive and monotonous.  I hate to say it, but they sound the same as any other all-girl band out there.  I'm not opposed to the female vocals at all, and Vancougar's singer does sound like she has somewhat of a decent vocal range, but the instrumentation is boring.  Most of the songs are in 3/4 and even if they are in standard time they have a swing feel to them, just building on the monotony.  There isn't much you can do with 3/4, much less an entire album full of it.

Since all of the songs sound practically the same I won't bother going through a track by track review.  Listen to two or three of the songs and you've got the gist of the entire album.  I don't want to make it sound like this band is horrible at what they do, they just aren't doing anything that I haven't already heard and I remain unimpressed with fully female bands in general.  Vancougar hasn't done anything unique with Losin' It! and at most they can expect a purely underground fan base.
