Anti-Flag's 2006 release For Blood and Empire is everything you would want and more in a punk album.  It's got the political lyrics, vocals that seem to rally the masses, drums that drive you forward before during and after every song, and punk-rock guitar that'll have you jumping off your couch and sliding on your knees.  Typically I don't get into punk music but Anti-Flag truly sets themselves apart from the senseless punk crowd.

The lyrics throughout the album are a call of protest and resistance to an oppressive American government in their eyes.  Such lyrics as "Your killing of my family did not make a fan out of me" and "After years are we still all content with being pawns in war game chess?" frequent the album.  Accompanying these lyrics are vocals by Justin Sane seem to be typical of any punk singer throughout the album but there are moments where he sounds a bit like Davey Havok.

Though punk-rock fans in general should bow down and worship For Blood and Empire, this album truly has something for everyone and is a great album from all angles.
