One listen to Bad Music will show you why the Cramps had such an influence on indie music even to this day. With all thier early gems like "New kind of kick" and "Garbageman" this early compilation (released only because they were dropped by I.R.S) serves as a nice introduction to the band. They were somewhere inbetween straight ahead rock, punk and rockabilly. Influencing bands like John Spencer Blues Explosion, Southern Culture, and even the mighty Reverend Horton Heat. They have good fun with goofy rockabilly.
