Unique, Energetic, Haunting, and Oh My God! Those are the four things I thought of when I first heard Grand Ole Party. Their album Humanimals is simply terrific. The fact that the lead singer not only plays drums yet sings at the same time makes her delivery that much more amazing. From the first song, "Look out young son", Grand Ole Party drops jaws. You simply owe to yourself to experience this band. With vocals so haunting she may very well be "The Devils Daughter,"  as she says in the first track. With songs like "INSANE" and "Bad Bad Man" it gives you a sense that you are hearing something special. In my opinion it is special. How this band isn't huge yet leaves me dumbfounded. To be right-out and blunt, you have to hear this band, you owe to yourself. I honestly cannot come up with one single comparison to any other band. This does not sound like their first album but it is. Can you say WOW, if not Grand Ole Party will make you.
