The album that started it all. From First to Last's first effort, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count is a post-hardcore classic. This album is most definitley the most impressive from the band. Even more so when you realize Sonny Moore was only 15 when he recorded this. HE WAS 15!!!!!!!! While some of the lyrics are juvenile and not mature, it is their first album. The album sets a tone from the start with the first song, The One Armed Boxer vs. The Flying Guillotine. The next song Note to Self is by far one of the better on the album, which says alot. With lyrics such as "Note to self i miss you terribly, this is what we call a tragedy..." it brings a sense of dramatic energy that is vital for a band's first effort. Emily is the slowest song on the album and it is a beautiful, which is a good break from the action. But when followed by a song like Secrets Don't Make Friends and Kiss Me i'm Contagious, From First to Last brings you right back to where they are at home. This albums is most certainly a 10/10. It gives you everything you are looking for from a post-hardcore album. The vocals are amazing and the delivery is perfectly unrefined. From First to Last shows what they are capable of and with Sonny Moore they are capable of anything.

I have never heard this album but pretty sure that the title is a variant of a quote by Veronica in the movie, Heathers ("Dear diary, my teen-angst bullshit has a body count"). And that is pretty cool.
