Che - Sounds of Liberation
Craving some more big meaty riffs? Do you desire more of the desert stoner rock? Make way for Che the next installation in the whole Kyuss Fu Manchu style. Featuring Alfredo Hernandez (Kyuss, QOTSA) on drums, Dave Dinsmore (Unida) on the thick bass, and Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Fu Manchu) on crunchy guitars and vocals only one thing can happen and that's a good thing. Sounds of Liberation is on of the hottest album I have heard in this style. It melds the best of everything from Kyuss to Fu Manchu to Monster Magnet to Thin Lizzy. The stand out track on the disc has to be the title track; crunchy and thick not unlike Monster Magnet only more raw as if the band had been stuck in the Desert for weeks on end and this was their last attempt at getting help. One of my favorites this year.
