I can't even remember how I came across Kylesa and their amazing album To Walk A Middle Course. A magazine article about some of today's great metal finds possibly. Anyway, if you are a metal fanatic you need to check out Kylesa. They mix heavy genres like nobodies business. They seem like they are stoner rock then go right into something more along the lines of Isis' instrumental rock, then shift gears and move over to a hardcore feel. Integrate all of these sounds into one band/album is not an easy feat but Kylesa seem to do it quite well. To Walk A Middle Course starts out with "In Memory" and it is really a great indication of what's to come but I found it was "Fractured" that was able to sum up their amalgamation of sounds. And it just gets better and better. Try out the the free download of "Shatter The Clock" and you will get a good idea of what Kylesa is capable of. I love the shout along feeling that this song evokes.

If you are looking for something a little different in the metal/hard rock world, definitely check out Kylesa's To Walk A Middle Ground. It is a wonderfully fresh look at hardcore/stoner rock/instrumental metal.

Wow, pretty good stuff from what I'm hearing on their myspace. They sound like a more hardcore-ish Kyuss.
