Who is David Candy? Basically David Candy is the brain-child of Ian Svenonius of such fame as the Make-Up and Nation of Ulysses. David Candy is a psychedelic pseudonym who could be related to Austin Powers only much sexier and even more of a mojo. There are some spoken word tracks such as “Redfuchsiatamborine&gravel� in which David even recites a recipe; very similar to label-mate Death By Chocolate. Then on the next track ‘Bad Bad Boy� David Candy sounds like David Bowie with a pout. He then goes on and reads from his own diary which goes on for 19 minutes. It sounds like a long time but he has some very intelligent things to say. Listen up. Sound cocky? It is but it really is quite enjoyable in full. Sit back with your martini and fade away into the world of David Candy’s psychedelic ramblings.
