One look at the members of Five Finger Death Punch will bring one and only one question to mind. What are these guys on? It's true they arent the most normal looking people, but thats what makes great music even better. Uniqueness and hair length aside, everything stands out on this album. When you strip this album down to its bear boned roots, you may find some things that arent quite understandable. The complexity of each of the individual songs is incredible. White Knuckles has at least 5 breakdowns placed in just the right spots to bring an army of dead people out of their graves and on their feet. Have you ever listened to a song and then thought of the perfect music video to go along with it while ur listening to the song? It's what I have to do on every single song to stop myself from jumping out of my chair and start a pit in my classroom. 5FDP reminds me of a very young Killswitch Engage, or and extremely young Slayer. Every song full of unleashed hellish fury that sends Catholic families packing for Canada. What is so addicting about this album is that every minute the band finds something new to do. Shocking; disturbing, slightly amusing, and a little surprising, The Way of the Fist is surely one of the bonafied best debut albums this side of the millennium.
