Don’t get turned off by the title of this brilliant album in thinking that this is going to be some sort of Prodigy sort of affair. In fact, one of the closest comparisons that I can make to Dirty Vegas is Seal. While that may not be all that flattering for an electronica band you have to think back to some of Seal’s tracks like “Prayer for the Dying. Dirty Vegas is always upbeat with vocals there to hold your attention. There may also be a bit of an Underworld similarity to Dirty Vegas as well with the latter being mellower. DV is made up of three members, Paul Harris, Brian Harris, and Steve Smith. You may have already heard Dirty Vegas because they got paid umpteen million dollars for the use of their track “Days Go By (included here) for a Mitsubishi commercial. You probably have to thank that chance of fate for this album. Rest assured, Dirty Vegas will provide a great summer cruising soundtrack.
