Presumably the songs on this 13 cut set were recorded in one take; I believe it, because "4-Way Diablo" has an immediacy that gives its dirty psych blues the extra crunch it needs. That aesthetic might make you assume that guitarist David Wyndorf and company owe a debt to the Stones, and the only non-original track here is a Stones cover. Cheekily, the cover is the obscure "2000 Light Years From Home,"and is here given a moody, creepy take. "Little Bag of Gloom" and "No Vacation" would fit equally well on "Headbangers Ball" and a future "Nuggets" compilation. Likewise, " Blow Your Mind," "Cyclone" and the title track are classic thundering MM. Jersey’s own stoner godfathers do not disappoint here; Monster Magnet continue to shape and surprise an audience primed for the heavy and the boozy, but also for the real deal.

4-Way Diablo, is an amazing display of true rock. Its as gritty as the Jersey Shore, with hooks that flow from one to another gracfully without comming off like Nickelback. Its raw energy that anyone can feed off of, and leads to my many speeding tickets while listening as driving. Awesome album that i recommend for all.
