There is no denying the impact Jimmy Rogers had on both Chicago Blues and the British Rock movement in the '60's. It was Jimmy who introduced the electric guitar into the Chicago sound. It was Jimmy who teamed up with Muddy Waters and Little Walter to form the great original Muddy Waters band. This album gave an oportunity for all the people he influenced to give back to him. Although Jimmy died while making this album you know he must have died satisfied having now played with some of the great artists he helped spawn. Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Taj Mahal, Stephen Stills, and Jeff Healy are among the cast of this great album. A great introduction into the world of Jimmy Rogers style of electric blues.
