The Alpha Couple - The Alpha Couple
Yes, keyboard-focused pop is probably not the focal point of youth America's attention. Regardless, The Alpha Couple brings something to the table. The vocals are generally weak and inconsistent yet they do shine once or twice ("Picture This"). The keyboards are infectiously poppy and very enjoyable. Like I said--there is something.
All good things come to cruel ends, The Alpha Couple is no more. The pop-piece has broken up after their only release, this EP. However, this EP stands as a sort of memorial of the potential the band did have. "One Foot Race" is probably the foremost example of this, the guitars shockingly unpoppy and very compelling for this pop unit. I think I need to stop saying poppy--you are probably catching my drift--but it definitely needs to emphasized that this band is the epitome of everything that pop music can be--even if they trip over their feet or break up.
