RecommendIt is all about crows, get it? This is a disturbing and beautiful concept record to those mysterious birds (the murder of the title is a reference to the scientific name of a group of crows), each brooding track sounding ancient and new at once. Seattle by way of Boston artist Fuller enlists the help of a couple guys from Califone and Water Kill the Sun to help create a set of tracks that sound minimal at first listen, but dig deeper with each visit. Every crow may look alike, but that’s only because we think our world is the final judge. Like watching crows reveal themselves in a group, these tunes each add to one another, while giving pause to shine on their own.
