Kineto is a really strange prog act that I found on a itunes list. It took me a month or two to finally find an actual copy of the CD, which dissapointingly contians one sheet of paper for album artwork. The music however is full of incredibly strange lyrics - conspiracy theories involving the government dumping toxic sludge in the ocean and a secret about hospitals covertly using shark cartilidge to attempt to cure cancer. The lyrics are quite thought provoking, but the band also addss in a relationship song (the strangest one I've ever heard) and a song comparing modern interaction and attitude to computers. "Now my brain's downloaded the latest OS, anti-hate plug-in, and imbalance fix. Old bugs may be gone, but created a few, in the land of the living, and the morals of new." Kineto is run mostly by the bassist, with sparse guitars and drums. It's like the opposite of any random band you would pick out today. Kineto is like the evil child, they make the good children seem better. But they're still an amazing band. Make any sense? Put it this way: They score a lot of points just for going where few have gone before.
