Silverstein has come back this year with AP Magazine's most anticipated album Arrivals & Departures yet again under Victory Records. I liked what I'd heard from these guys, but the new album is quite good. it starts off Sounds Of The Sun, a little too loud for the intro if you ask me but nevertheless its a very exceptional song. It's chorus gives you that "wow this song would be amazing live" feeling.
Next we have Bodies And Words. The opening chords would make anyone love this song. I like how they didnt phase out the screaming parts like other bands seem to be doing lately. It keeps the beat going on the album. The 'upbeatness' continues through If You Could See Into My Soul which has another fantastic opening. Though i feel like as the song progresses it becomes less--exciting. And so the fast-paced pattern ive seen has come to a screeching halt at Worlds Apart. I feel as though they should've left that track out. although it picks up towards the middle and it does get better, it kills the mood.
Next on the hitlist is Still Dreaming. for some reason, this song reminds me of a band called Race The Sun. Shane Told uses more of a high-pitched voice in this one. The scream part is majorly phased out in this track, and although it doesnt sound quite like Silverstein, its a good track and a great addition to an already great album. Speaking of not sounding quite like Silverstein, my hands down favorite track on the disc is True Romance. its a softer song than all the others but it is truely amazing. It is a song about being yourself, and it seems like anyone can relate to. This album in whole is remarkable, definitley one for the best of the year lists.

I'm with hstisgod. I was a big silverstein fan, and they had seemed to be loosing their hardcore edge with their last release. From the single i heard from this album, i thought they would have finally blew out and stopped making good music. And then i thought, all those people with their hype, and all those people that are looking forward to another 'When Broken is Easily Fixed' are going to be let down. But maybe i will have to eat my own words in the near future here. But now that i am curious, i'm going to go pick up this album, or at least listen to the hit a little bit more before i can come back and make an actual rating about it. Good review.
