Black Box Recorder, despite the fact that they have only released two albums, have become quite a force in the indie rock world. Their albums have been included on many top ten lists (expect to see this years Fact of Life to end up on a few as well). This particular album, labeled the Worst of Black Box Recorder, is a little more than what the title suggests. It is a collection of the bands b-sides, which include a couple of Jacques Brel covers (the stupidly catchy “Seasons In The Sun�) as well as Rod McKuen and David Bowie. You will also enjoy a remix of the superb “Facts of Life� done by, surprisingly enough, Jarvis Cocker and Steve Macky from Pulp. They have included the bands brilliant complete video collection as mpeg files on the disc: included are “England Made Me�, “The Art of Driving�, “Child Psychology�, and “The Facts of Life�.
