RecommendBlack Box Recorder is made up of vocalist Sarah Nixey, former Auteur Luke Haines, and ex-Jesus And Mary Chain drummer John Moore. Together they form quite a unique sound. With regards to Sarah's vocals they sound very remniscent of the Cardigans, BUT before we get carried away, the overall sound is a lot more morose and mellow and sweeter than anything the Cardigans would ever be capable of doing. I read in one review that this would be the perfect album to listen to the morning after and you are trying to figure out what went wrong. Relationships, family matters, and death are just some of the topics that BBR sings about. England Made Me really is a brilliant album and let's hope that there is much more creativity like this to come out of the UK.
