This is a very impressive solo album by Kyuss and Fu Manchu drummer, Brant Bjork. He is proving himself to be more than a one trick pony with the diversity that he shows with his band the Operators. This is a great album that won't just appeal to fans of stoner rock bands like Fu Manchu. This is a broad album that hits on many different styles. Take for instance the last song entitled "Hinda 65 (Return Flight)". It's a groovy mellow tempo jam that eases in and out like snake charmer. Don't worry about heavy because that's here too on tracks like "My Ghettoblaster", which could have easily been worked into the self titled Kiss album. On "Captain Lovestar" Brant gets a hand from buddy Franz Stahl who fronted Scream. There really isn't a sleeper on the album which goes to show that Brant Bjork is a great songwriter in almost any setting. PS - Brant plays almost everything on this album. Pretty impressive.
