How does one explain Dance Gavin Dance?
Funny song titles, Christina Aguilera gone hardcore, dinosaurs and robots, and the most hooking guitars ever. Regardless of whether or not they did really invent Times New Roman, this is one of the most enticing releases ever released by Rise Records and probably the only band that could get away with writing lyrics such as "Brontosaurus tracks, relax" and singing songs about exploding. They have a delicious delivery, essentially.
Tell me more!
From the occassionally grating but always powerful vocals that remind you of American Idol somewhat and Britney Spears none-what, you are literally roped into songs like "Antlion" with the pure energy of the vocals and the wild guitars all the way to the compelling drums and bass. This altogether probably makes DGD one of the most cohesive bands out there.

I honestly love this band, but just not this album. Maybe a couple of tracks.

I have to respectfully disagree with the other two comments. I think the lead singer is incredible, the screamer is just your average screamer, but that takes nothing away from the band. From beginning to end this album is packed with energy and excitement. Not every band is going to release a "masterpiece", so you have to be used to music that is good enough to be enjoyed, not torn apart because its not perfect.
