It’s obvious that Alyssa has the potential for pop stardom but what’s less apparent is why she hasn’t found a producer yet. Alyssa has great pop structures in her songs, most clearly heard in her single, “Chemicals,” but she lacks the expert production needed to make her music sound distinguished within this particular musical genre. This is less of a criticism and more of an urge to Alyssa, polish your music, this is really something! “Slippin’,” is another standout track about a frustrating, inescapable relationship. “I’m slipping when I try to run away from you,” Alyssa sings sweetly. Alyssa’s songs are strongly emotional and almost too easy to get lost in. Often I heard the lyrical content vanish within her saccharin vocals, which is hardly a bad thing.
