Anonymous and annoyingly obscure on their band page, and with a record more full of silences than sounds, Ting Ting Jahe certainly are provocative, which is a word that has meaning if you dig it, and doesn’t mean a fucking thing if this pisses you off. Of the eight tracks, only "313-16-1", with its industrial punch, and "313-16-3" step away from the gentle hiss and the outright abandonment of the listener of the other ambient tracks. This is the kind of record that probably has a point to it, a deliberate challenge to both listen to it and to the environment in which you are listening to it.
