RecommendAnonymous and annoyingly obscure on their band page, and with a record more full of silences than sounds, Ting Ting Jahe certainly are provocative, which is a word that has meaning if you dig it, and doesn’t mean a fucking thing if this pisses you off. Of the eight tracks, only "313-16-1", with its industrial punch, and "313-16-3" step away from the gentle hiss and the outright abandonment of the listener of the other ambient tracks. This is the kind of record that probably has a point to it, a deliberate challenge to both listen to it and to the environment in which you are listening to it. Then again maybe it means diddly and the joke is on me. Or you
