You know what I’m going to say before I can say it. You take three of the most influential and prolific noise and improv musicians, put them in a live setting and let them have at their turntables and laptops, and you are going to have yourself a nice 50 minute plus track that is by turns beautiful and shimmering, and downright ugly and brutal. And you will love it, even as you wish I could say more about it than that. But you know the men, the myth, and the mobile apocalypse each is capable of creating alone at the table. Together they make a glorious mess of things, which is to say that there are moments of pure bliss here, amidst the pausing and assaulting. That is just what genius does. There are colors here that you knew existed, but didn’t want to admit to seeing before; there are sounds you expect to hear, but want to hear them anyway, because you need it.
