The Apples In Stereo have been heralded for their contribution to the Elephant 6 collective. If you are unfamiliar with this collective they are a group of musicians that have a like minded musical vision (mostly 60's style jangle pop) and have no problem sharing their multi-intrument talents. Although none of the bands have actually "broken" into the mainstream yet they are very highly respected musicians in the indie world. This outing for Apples has the band at their happiest point yet following the critically acclaimed Her Wallpaper Reverie. You must be a fan of happy poppy ala Brian Wilson styled harmonies in order to get enjoyment out of this album. Most tracks are very upbeat and lively while the odd song is a bit slower but not any less refreshing. The Apples stand out in a world of mediocre music as a ripe fruit waiting to be picked and enjoyed by all.
