Dual crunching guitars? Check. Gut wrenching, almost demonic vocals? Check. Originality? Err, not really.
Beneath The Sky's new album, What Demons Do To Saints, comes at you like a swift kick to the face. Complete with everything that makes the perfect metal album. The only thing that's missing is the bands own personal touches, i.e. originality. Sure it's good for a mosh or for a pre-teen to vent to in his room because his parents grounded him. But for those of us who want something different, or even a band that has something to say, this release is extremely lacking. Full of lyrics about dead bodies and failed romances, here is absolutely nothing new.
This band is growing ever more popular, even signing to Victory Records. I can't lie and say that they dont have alot of fans. But who wouldn't like something that sounds like your favorite band? 11 songs of pure insanity and head crushing rythms are enough to settle even the most violent metalheads cravings, just don't expect to be suprised.
Catch them at the next show before Beneath The Sky falls beneath the radar.
