RecommendAmon Tobin's latest release, The Foley Room, is a stunning album that shows, in its entirety, Tobin's versatility and and originality when it comes to sampling. The entire album uses samples recorded using a high sensitivity microphone that caught all kinds of sounds among the streets of his field recording excursion. Groups such as Kronos Quartet and Stefan Schneider also assisted Tobin in recording samples for the album.
Once all was said and done and Amon Tobin had his samples, he put them together to create a true masterpiece embodied in Foley Room. The album will keep you guessing what it is that you are really hearing in the samples while you sit in utter amazement of Tobin's sheer genius.
