Jason Swinscoe has been dabbling under the Cinematic Orchestra moniker for a few years now, melding crazy free jazz and drum programming with abstract samples thrown in. The name is very descriptive of the sound JAson has come up with. What he does is takes modern jazz from the 60s and 70s and incorporates it into a cinematic film soundtrack. What Remixes does is incorporates other artists into the mix of things. Artists include Faze Action, Kenji Eno, DJ Krust, and Les Gammas to name a few. The album doesn't quite end up like you would think. Instead of the artists making the tracks into their own style they adapted to Jason's frame of mind. The tracks are more extensions of the originals than anything. Most of these were done before the Cinematic Orchestra name was ever recognized. And it's on Ninja Tune and they don't release any bad music.
