I was shocked to find out that ex-pro skater, Duane Peters was fronting this band. I'm a what one would call "old school" in the whole skateboard world. Duane does a great job fronting this punk band and he owes a lot to Joe Strummer for his vocal style. US Bombs end up sounding like "old school" British punk like the Varukers and early Clash so it is suprising to hear them singing about America. The album as a whole has a sameness feel to it. They hit on a few charmers especially when they are mimicking The Clash. These guys keep punk real though. They have the punk attitude and aren't afraid to voice their opinion. One great track I can relate to is "Skater Dater". This album is for true punk afficianado's.
